Sophie Amelia

Marketing & Development Assistant

Sophie Amelia, a rising senior at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, is completing her Bachelor’s in Producing and the Business of Broadway, accompanied by a double minor in Vocal Performance and French. She has been employed by NYU Steinhardt’s Music and Performing Arts Professions as the Assistant Production Manager for the past 3 years, as well as having completed a variety of theatre internships focused on marketing, programming, stage management, and social media outreach.

Sophie’s love for all-things-Broadway began when she took her first voice lesson at the age of 12 and started performing in school and community theatre productions in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Although she began her collegiate studies as a musical theatre performance major, she has since developed a passion for producing, programming, and general management. Through these professional avenues, Sophie strives to present innovative dramatic styles, promote cultural and community values, provide educational outreach, and support diversity in casting and hiring practices in a financially viable manner.
